With a background in art and art history, my passion for design was first shaped through hands-on craftsmanship-sketching, drafting, patternmaking, and sewing apparel. Initially, I was drawn to the intersection of function and beauty, often re-imagining historical silhouettes with modern materials. From reconstructing a 19th-century corset in high-tech neoprene to creating contemporary gowns that fuse past and present, my work explores fashion as both an art form and a means of innovation. My dedication to sustainable "Trashion" fashion further deepened my curiosity about design thinking, ultimately leading me to the world of instructional design. Today, I apply that same creative problem-solving and learner-centered design to craft engaging digital learning experiences; blending aesthetics, structure, and function to transform how and why people learn.
